Summarizing and grouping user opinions, as well as analyzing the step-by-step user journey of Privalia, it's time to understand what the customer needs and why, resulting in the following:
Ability to Select Products without Adding to the Cart When the customer likes a product, the online buyer needs to save the product while continuing to view other models but gets frustrated because they can only add to the cart and must select sizes and colors without being sure if they want to buy that product.
More Data to Help Select the Right Size When the customer wants to select the size, the online buyer needs to know measurement details or a reference to choose the indicated size, but doubts because they only see the model's sizes and haven't bought anything similar before to be sure if they want to buy that product.
Recover Products in the Cart if Time Runs Out When they want to purchase what was added to the cart, the online buyer needs to purchase within 15 minutes but gets frustrated because the time has passed and they have to search and select the products again.
Once the insights were detected, I decided to respond to them through a linear process of HMW (How Might We) and brainstorming, followed by an evaluation matrix to assess the viability and impact of the possible solutions. The winning ideas were:
How to Make Users Select the Right Size? 🥇 Use a guide to take the correct measurements of your foot and convert them into sizes, and add conversion tables by country.
How to Make Users Make a Preselection Independent of the Shopping Cart? 🥈 Add a favorites section next to the shopping cart. It should alert the user to the limited availability of the product.
How to Make Users Keep the List of Products Once the Time Expires? 🥉 Create a history section within the shopping cart, indicating which products are still in stock and which have sold out.
